Supermarket contributions include sponsorship of community events and donations to local
food banks, soup kitchens, schools, shelters, Little League, Girl Scouts, Lions, Elks,
Jaycees, children and elderly services organizations and more. Tops supports nearly every
civic and church organization that asks for our help. Our contributions have never
been related to any sales promotional gimmick. Serving the community in this manner has
been Tops' philosophy for nearly 50 years!

Hometown Trees
Tops Supermarket is a proud participant of the IGA Hometown Trees Program.
In the past three years Tops participated in a coloring contest and tree planting with
local schools and Scouting organizations. Last year over 500 trees were planted!
Tops IGA Supports Youth Sports
Tops believes that ... if you have a strong body, a
strong mind is inevitable! That's why we support so many youth athletic programs both on
the local and on the national level.

Tops supports the Fanciscan Life Center in their mission of caring for others through
counseling, education, retreats, and home care.

Connecticut Huskies Athletics
Tops is a STRONG supporter of the
Connecticut Huskies men and women's basketball team. Go Huskies!

The Jack and William Kastner Memorial Scholarship
Each year Tops Supermarket awards a
college-bound Southington High School senior a $300 scholarship. The deserving student
must have maintained a high scholastic average and be involved in extra curricular
activites that serve the community.

DECA Marketing Education Award
Tops Supermarket awards $300 to a
Southington High School senior who has been enrolled in DECA Marketing Education for at
least 2 years and who wishes to further his/her education in the field of Marketing
Education.
